Road to being Proactive? Take DINALUPIHAN exit…

“It does not matter where you are going, what matter is, deciding to get ON the train….” – Polar Express

Indeed.

The courage for deciding to proceed with something even without a confirmed result or ending but with just a profound trust for the “powerful invincible Force” seems to be a mystery. The decision to say “yes we can” and the belief to say to yourself “Yes, I can” is a bold statement. It is a powerful tool to increase levels of self-esteem, to plunge yourself headfirst without knowing if you’re going to succeed or not.

That to me is one heck of a powerful proactivity.

And I’ve experienced the magical powers of being proactive one morning, in a particular offsite location, or should i say, road? That’s DINALUPIHAN exit to nowhere. Haha. Giggles, i swear that was one hilarious-but-shamey event of my life!

There I was, together with a colleague and our Inspirational Officer, enjoying the cool sights of green fields which Mother Nature generously provided (and its up to us humans on how to take care of it all). We actually met On time, started to pave our way for the activity that day take this, “on time” . So i thought, “nothing could definitely go wrong”.

Good conversations flowed in, topics on Billboards, showbiz buzz breaks (Krissy! I miss you na! {imitating the kris aquino voice, two thumbs up for Angelica Panganiban for doing so}), and lots of Hayden issues too. Haha. Giggles. Oh, not forgetting the Vicky Belo’s super healthy(duh!) oats tarpaulin, with her gloating over her product with a half-open mouth (I wonder before, why are her billboards always showing her with that pose? Now I know…and Im not telling, but I for one would not want to have my face done….no implications here guys….just read between the lines…shhhhh) Haha.

How would you react to this?

The Road to Neverland... Hahahaha.

The Road to Neverland... Hahahaha.

Beautiful isn’t it?

YES. in real life, it was a much perfect site which can wash all of your worries away.

That’s a mountain, cut in half by a bread knife (what?), haha. Kidding!

Now let me get back to my story blogging. After several toll stops, still on track and on time…oooops…did i say on track? Here comes the catch, there’s a particular right turn on SCTEX which we are supposed to take, but we drove right away because I justified too that during my first time of passing in SCTEX we never took a right turn (oh gee, me and my BIG-talking-MOUTH, sorry Ms. Cris!!! shyness…I vow never to speak of something I’m unsure of ever again.hahaha.)

Then, all of a sudden, it’s as if alienation loomed over the universe, mothership of all space crafts are trying to control all of our movements, I noticed that the green fields are more pronounced this time.

Just beautiful. Freaking and breathtakingly beautiful which makes me one supercalifragilisticexpialodocious psychology brat. I loved the view, but, deep inside of the pits of my stomach, butterflies are flying everywhere. Trying to get out of my nerves. Because I know that we are lost, and it seems to me that we will never get back on the right track ever again. So much for the wonderful picture perfect drama!

Hahahahaha. And it took us several SCTEX helpline calls (just to make us feel better), and some calls too from my boss. Gee, it really is funny and freaky when you got lost and there’s no U turn or something..just cars driving around you and the scenery.

The road just keeps on going and going and going. I tried on calling my lolo Ching and Lolo Cesing (in chinese culture, there’s a saying that your loved ones who passed away seems to be guiding you everyday from a very special place, always looking out for you and ready to help you out of your shit) I think after several mountains cut in half (so pretty), my prayers has been answered. Eureka (thanks Archimedes), we found the exit!!!

Now we headed back to the right track in a faster manner. Ms. Cris was so cool for trying to be just in control of what’s happening, however, I wished she enjoyed the scene too. haha.

We were able to think of ways on how to savor and enjoy the moment, while hiding our bursting nervous system. Being proactive can be practiced in times you never imagined. It’s a part of life. You have it in you. Instead of stopping at the middle of that sctex, we never stopped (as if we can), we plunge headfirst into a road where we do not know where it might lead us.

Now i thought, i wished that road could be linked to Europe or something. For us to be in 2 place or several places at one time! That’s one heck of a dream!

Haha. You want to be proactive? take that exit. And take the train for an instance. Smile while driving on the road. Do not be afraid of not knowing where to go… just trust your instinct.

Laugh and dance.

Got Yogurt?

yummy...yummy..yum.

yummy...yummy..yum.

Ah…Majestic. Euphoric feeling of completeness. This medium sized cup of Yogurt Strawberry flavored ice cream from Green Mango located at the Sky Garden is heaven sent. Every spoonful makes me feel like a princess, no, rather a queen. Set in a Royal tableu setting, with little kettles moving above me, serving me in silver platters and golden spoons.

Delicious. Just Delicious, and way healthy too… You can actually taste the creaminess of the yogurt, converted into an ice cream. Unlike those other stores who only offered frozen yogurt, this one seems and taste like the real thing.

You want to shed those fats, but still indulge and help yourself into feeling like you deserve to be fattened out after several hours of workload?

Locate the Green Mango (a small Ice Cream stop-cafe) but, size does not matter here. Haha. It is the taste guys. The taste! And the wide arrays of toppings! Oh my, just choose from walnuts, chocolates, fresh fruits like lychees, pineapple, cherries, melon, and lots more!

One more additional fact, its not pricey!!!!

two thumbs up for Green Mango, here’s another sets of pictures of me and my mom, savoring the frozent moment.

Just Chillin Around...

“aka Manny Pacman: try it now!”

I cannot even smile...frost bite! and for the finale, one last look…oh…I want a franchise! mom Please? Just a franchise! And i will never bug you for shopping again! Ever. Promise.

Hahahaha.

The "After" part...

Thinking of Cheese

“I am taking this road in a very sophisticated and timely manner, for I do not know when I shall be taking this path again” – anonymous.

Every day, the impact of mankind’s kindling with nature is bizarre in a way that it never got repeated. Every fashion of interaction stems up from the root of civilization. Every inch seems to be coming from a dimensional abyss in which every detail and sight is never exactly the same.

Based on my observation which resulted from my untimely but accurate eye, morning rituals do come and go as fast as the falcon, every chance encounter with every one in that long, sweaty, arrays of ticket line for the MRT seems like a lifetime. Why the heck these individuals tend to be a masochistic ogre ready to ogle all feminist. You showered for hours, cleaning all your dreams (wet?) away, splashing slick perfume over your body, sometimes using body mist or any “liquid or cream that you may call VANITY”. Chugging their way (without poise) into the line, breaking all boundaries of sophistication just to grab hold of the door handle as if holding it guarantees you a spot for the jackpot lottery: here comes the Buzzer!

“Toot! Toot! Toot! Toot!”

“Pakiusap lang po, huwag harangan ang pintuan para dipo tayo maabala”

“Kayo din po, lalo kayo malelate sa mga appointments nio” – egged the driver (I think calling them pilots are much better…right?)

“Toot! Toot! Toot!

At last, it closed. What a relief.  Then here comes the entertaining but rather annoying order of audio advertisements. It’s being repeated almost every times! And sponsors belittle the ad campaign. More ketchup please!

More innovation is needed I think. It is an Audio, that’s why it should be unique in away that will make me stick my ears to the speakers just to memorize every rhythm, sound, words and most importantly the message it conveys.

Why not give audio reports about the swine flu, or some informative details about politics, life, guidance, love, wisdom, which in turn can inspire the passengers. Why not give some insights on ambitions, dreams? There are a lot of stories to tell, even news breaks. If they would give me permission to read them news bits in the morning, then I prefer showbiz in a theatrical way of delivery. See if they wouldn’t be laughing their heads out. All love angles there is, as reported in the showbiz iconic way of punch lines shall be talked about. Why not have a short talk show inside the train, though just passing through our auditory nerves. It would still be fun.

Do you know how hard it is for someone to stifle their giggles? As well as laughter; it would balloon in way that you cannot just stop it.

Then here comes the never ending famous line of the similar MRT officer whose voice I cannot forget. When he stands in front of the announcement booth, I always like to laugh so hard insanely.

“Mga minamahal po naming pasahero, pakiusap lang po, huwag tatapakan ang dilaw na linya, para iwas disgrasya. Pakiingtan po ang mga gamit, ticket, wallet, bag, cellphone. Bantayan ang iyong mga gamit, And here’s his famous line:

“Huwag niyong hayaang masilip ng iba ang inyong mga gamit, sige kayo, kayo din, wag niong sisihin ung katabi nio kung nakuhanan kayo ng gamit, at nasilip nila ang laman ng inyong mga bag, nasa inyong pagiingat iyan”

And you know one thing that I usually notice after this famous guideline? Almost all of the passengers waiting in the line will automatically glance at their preppy bags and would try to smuggle safely their handbags away from those invisible prying eyes! hahahaha, what a comedy scene! i usually laugh bout this.

Then, it occured to me…why not think to be just be rats (for a day) and think of those you really aspire to get hold of….cheese! Gee, in real life im really fond of cheese! all kinds of cheese guys. Choosing from the dairy section in the grocery, spotting the preferred cheese of mine from the day, it completes me. Hahaha. Blue cheese, parmesan, mozarella…hmmm… and danish? oh dear… I can already imagine myself chewing those for snack. Healthy right?

Like in the pizza commercial , “so cheeeesy!!!!”

hahahaha. Then, that particular cheese truly reminded me of my goals, aspirations and dreams, I’ve read something by Maxwell, of his “thinking BIG” book, “you are only an attitude away from success!” wow. That for me is really something. Just an attitude away? Then I tried to think more and more about my own attitude at present. Is mine worth keeeping for? or worth living for? haha. My answer seems to be a Big yes, however, it also felt that there is something still missing. Hmmm.. What could it be?

I still have a lot to learn on several more attitudes that i stil do not have at the moment. What could those attitudes be?

Now, im sitting here….just thinking of my cheese…what kind of cheese is it? Can i find it here in the dairy section somewhere? Hmmmm….
